Job summary
An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated dietitian to join our team at The Royal Surrey Hospital (RSH) and be part of our growing oesophago-gastric (OG) team.
This is a full-time, Band 7, post for a fixed term of 12 months.
The Royal Surrey (RSH) is an established regional unit for both oncology and benign surgical OG procedures, with chemotherapy and radiotherapy treatments delivered onsite from Royal Surrey Cancer Centre. We are looking for somebody with experience in surgery and / or oncology with an interest in the speciality. We need a team player who takes pride in providing an efficient and effective dietetic service. The caseload will be very varied and will work closely within the OG MDT within RSH and the wider Surrey & Sussex Cancer Alliance.
If you are an HCPC registered dietitian with experience and a strong interest in surgery and oncology, looking for an opportunity to develop your skills within a friendly and supportive team, we would love to hear from you.
We are committed to ensuring an inclusive and supportive recruitment process. If you would benefit from additional support--such as meeting the recruiting manager or visiting the interview environment in advance--please let us know when applying.
Kindly note that we cannot accommodate remote interviews and attendance in person is required.
Main duties of the job
To provide a highly specialised nutrition and dietetics service for patients with both benign and malignant oesophago-gastric (OG) disease, at the Royal Surrey Foundation Trust (RSFT). The Dietetic Department at RSH has an active audit and research culture, promoting clinical effectiveness in patient care. You will join a forward thinking and innovative dietetic team, which undertakes student training and is involved in teaching at the University of Surrey as well as supporting students with dissertation projects. This is an excellent opportunity in a supportive environment where you will be encouraged to develop both personally and professionally.
