Job summary
Are you methodical? Do you pride yourself on your attention to detail and accuracy? Are you Patient focused. Then this may be the new career for you!
Working in Aseptic Services is a vocation. It is technical, detailed, sometimes repetitive but the learning never ends.
We provide a range of injectable medicines e.g Chemotherapy and Total Parenteral Nutrition (TPN) for patients and clinical trials, using isolator cabinets in a cleanroom environment.
Working as part of a team, once trained you would be responsible for making a range of medicines using a range of aseptic manipulations and using needles and syringes.
Working under supervision you also will rotate through other areas of the department so you need to be able to follow procedures precisely and be able to document things clearly and concisely.
No experience is necessary for the band 2 position as comprehensive training will be given.
This position offers progression from Band 2 to Band 3 after completion of training and qualification.
Only candidates with suitable experience and NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services/SMPO or accepted equivalent may apply for the Band 3 position.
IMPORTANT: Candidates who fail to supply a detailed supporting statement specifying how their skills and experience match the person specification contained in the job description will not be invited for interview.
Main duties of the job
To aseptically prepare products for patient administration. You will wear clean room clothing and be trained to work following strict clean room behaviours.
You will assemble trays containing consumables and pharmaceutical ingredients for 1st stage checks, therefore must be able to document information clearly and accurately.
You will perform transfer sanitisation using sterile agents e.g. isopropyl alcohol and other disinfectant agents and be responsible for cleaning equipment and areas of work to the highest standards on a regular basis.
Unfortunately, this role does not meet the criteria required to qualify for sponsorship.

About us
Lincolnshire Community Health Services NHS Trust is in the top 25 per cent of all community trusts for overall staff engagement in the 2021 NHS National Staff Survey.
At LCHS, we know diversity fosters creativity and innovation. We are committed to equality of opportunity, to being fair and inclusive, and to being a place where all belong. We therefore particularly encourage applications from candidates who are likely to be underrepresented in LCHS' workforce.
LCHS recognises the increasing demand for more flexibility in working practices in order to accommodate the personal goals and commitments that employees experience at different stages during their working lives. Flexible working opportunities such as part-time working, compressed hours, job shares, and hybrid working models can help staff to balance their personal and work commitments. Arrangements can be put in place if it can be shown that the needs of the individual can be balanced with those of the service and the impact on other team members, enabling the Trust to recruit and retain skilled staff, raise staff morale, reduce absenteeism and respond to changing service needs more effectively.
We are an ambassador of a learning culture that will support the right individual to progress in their chosen career through an 'earn while you learn' apprenticeship programme. As Teaching Hospitals working with the Hull York Medical School, we both lead and contribute to research in many areas - biomedical research, primary care, palliative medicine, cardiovascular and respiratory medicine, vascular surgery, cancer surgery and oncology.
We believe that by developing a diverse, inclusive, innovative, skilled and caring workforce, we can deliver excellent care to our patients and a great future for our employees, our Partnership and our community.

As a specialist occupational therapist working within Community Hospitals you will have the opportunity to champion the key values of your profession.
We understand that through purposeful and meaningful activity we can support people to rehabilitate, recover and self-care. We strongly believe that our therapy teams within our community hospitals play a vital role not just in the health and well-being of our patients, but for our wider communities as a whole.
As your caseload will be varied, you will have the opportunity to work alongside individuals experiencing a range of long-term health conditions. A key aspect of this will involve assessment of frailty and providing meaningful support for people with palliative health conditions.
This role is to be based in Johnson Community Hospital, Spalding Road, Pinchbeck, PE11 3DT.
If you are interested in this role then we invite you to get in touch.
Main duties of the job
- To assess and develop personalised care plans for individuals admitted on to the ward

About us
Lincolnshire Community Health Services NHS Trust is in the top 25 per cent of all community trusts for overall staff engagement in the 2021 NHS National Staff Survey.
