An exciting opportunity has arisen to recruit an Assistant Psychologist to our established Psychology Team which provides a community service across Greater Manchester to service users with a learning disability and/or autism who present with forensic risk or risk of hospital admission or placement breakdown.

The Greater Manchester Specialist Support Team (SST), based in Eccles, provides additional support to those who are at risk of contact with the Criminal Justice System or Hospital admission. The SST is a multidisciplinary team consisting of Psychology, Speech and Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Nursing, and Support Workers. This is a great opportunity to gain experience in multidisciplinary and systemic working, as the role involves liaising with the local Learning Disability, Mental Health and Autism services and Criminal Justice agencies to develop proactive and preventative risk mitigation support.

You will have the opportunity to develop your skills of psychological formulation and advice and consultation under supervision of, and joint working with, qualified clinical psychologists. This role involves direct and indirect working to develop specialist risk assessments and formulations.

You will receive regular clinical supervision from a qualified Clinical Psychologist.

Main duties of the job

To support and enhance the professional psychological care and risk management of service users within the service and across all relevant agencies.The post holder is expected to work in wide range of community settings. This includes working into service user's homes, supported living, and can include visits to prisons, approved premises and probation. The post holder will be primarily based in Eccles within our offices.

The post holder is expected to work with service users, who can present with high risk of harm to themselves or others and can also have histories of offending.

The postholder will work with potentially distressing material in relation to service users' personal histories, offending behaviour and risks to self and others.

The post holder will be expected to undertake and/or contribute to psychological assessments/ formulations of a service users' presentation, needs and risk, which may include direct and/or indirect structured observations, and semi-structured interviews with service users, carers and others involved in their care or management. The post holder will provide provide a psychological perspective into MDT meetings, work with staff teams around the person and be involved in staff training where needs arise.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 5 Higher Assistant Psychologist to work within the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Offender Personality Disorder Pathway Service.

This small but established team arises from a joint initiative between Cambridgeshire & Peterborough Foundation Trust and National Probation Service.

There current post will be based in the community at the Approved Premises in Peterborough. The Approved Premise is a Psychologically Informed Planned Environment.

The post-holder will be working to develop the PIPE, its residents and staff. Our PIPE offers the opportunity to participate in planning and pre arrival work with the residents. The co-delivery of brief psycho-education groups and skills-based training to residents. As well as developing the residents' engagement, motivation and implementing individualised risk management plans.

The team is looking for an enthusiastic, robust, committed individual who has a keen interest in working with complex forensic clients with identified personality difficulties. Previous experience of working within a multi-disciplinary team, with clients with personality difficulties (diagnosed or undiagnosed) and/ or complex presentations/ challenging behaviours is essential. Furthermore, previous experience of working with clients within forensic settings is desirable.

We are currently looking to recruit a full time Band 6 Mental Health Practitioner (Mental Health Nurse, Occupational Therapist or Social Worker) to join our small and supportive Community Mental Health Team for older adults, embedded within an exciting Integrated Care model. We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated Clinical /Counselling Psychologist or Cognitive Behavioural Therapist to join our Stepped Care Therapy Team within Older Peoples' Mental Health Secondary Care Services in Fenland.

The friendly and supportive team comprises of Clinical Psychologists, Occupational Therapists and an OT Assistant. We regularly host trainees from all disciplines. We are a proactive team who use a broad range of therapeutic approaches and work in a person-centred way.

The role will include assessment, formulation and evidence-based intervention including, where appropriate, specialist neuropsychological assessment.

The post holder will also provide supervision and consultation for mental health colleagues and work closely with both mental and physical health staff. AMHPs carry out statutory duties under the Mental Health Act 1983 which includes a broad range of tasks including section 13 consideration, making informed, independent decisions about the need for compulsory admission to hospital, the use of Guardianship and Community Treatment Orders to support well-being in the community. As well as undertaking the role of Social Supervision under Part 3 of the MHA.

The AMHP Training

The Post Graduate Certificate Approved Mental Health Professional academic course is set at accredited masters level and will be delivered by University of Lancashire in September 2027 Mental Health Practice PGCert - AMHP Course through a mix of remote learning and practice placement. The course will be financially supported by Devon County Council, and we will offer support throughout your learning and development both from the Social Care AMHP service, the daytime AMHP service and the Workforce Development Team. We will be offering full support through your AMHP pathway and the academic course, however, there will be an expectation that once qualified you remain within the AMHP role to practise as an AMHP in Devon for a minimum of two years.

On successful completion of the programme, practitioners will be considered for approval by Devon County Council as an Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP). Approval is granted by a Local Social Services Authority (LSSA), and practitioners can only undertake AMHP duties once formally approved.

A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen for a proactive, creative and highly skilled Specialist Forensic or Clinical Psychologist who is passionate about supporting children and young people in a secure setting. You will join our fantastic multi-disciplinary team at Millenium Lodge, Secure Children's Home, which will be the new site in 2027, for Lincolnshire Secure Children's Home currently rated Outstanding by both CQC and Ofsted.

The service sits within our Children's and Young Person's Complex Care Service Line, alongside the Harmful Behaviour Service and Complex Needs Service. Our New Secure Children's Home will provide care for up to 28 young people aged 10-18. Many of the young people we support have experienced significant adversity, including trauma, mental health challenges, neurodevelopmental difficulties and risk of harm to themselves or others. You will work closely with our Highly Specialist Forensic Psychologist/Clinical Lead and a range of professionals to create a safe, containing environment and deliver interventions that help young people understand themselves, their mental health and their offending behaviour.

In this role you will have opportunities to lead on psychological formulations, deliver individual and group interventions, and contribute to staff training and policy development. You will be required to have at least 12-18 months post qualification experience.

Main duties of the job

An exciting opportunity has arisen for Mental Health Practitioners to join the Merseyside Liaison and Diversion Service including RECONNECT Service. The role will provide timely access to assessments within Liverpool and Wirral Magistrates courts, Liverpool and Wirral custody suites, and HMP Walton and Altcourse.

Main duties of the job

Liaison and diversion and RECONNECT is a process whereby people of all ages with mental health problems, learning disabilities, substance misuse problems and other vulnerabilities are identified and assessed as early as possible as they pass through the youth and adult criminal justice systems.

You will be expected to work in court, police custody suites and HMP Walton and Altcourse. this role includes working across as well as the wider mental health systems and urgent care division.

You will be a registered practitioner within mental health (Allied Health Professions: Mental Health Nurse; Social Worker; Occupational Therapist; Learning disability Nurse) with demonstrable extensive post registration experience. You will have experience in undertaking specialist mental health assessments and have a sound knowledge of the Mental Health Act/Capacity Act and criminal justice systems

This role will be based at HMP Lancaster Farms a category C prison based in Lancaster, and will also oversee the services at HMP Preston a category B prison, and HMP Kirkham a category D prison. The sites are based a short drive from the Lake District, and are close to the M6 for commuters. Main duties of the job

As a ClusterPsychologist,your responsibilities will vary. You will:
