An opportunity has arisen for a qualified and experienced pharmacy technician to join our established, friendly, and dynamic medicines management team at South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust.

The post holder will support the safe, effective, and timely supply of medicines to patients and end users across the Maudsley Hospital, and will also cover some dispensary services.

Main duties of the job

• To participate in the provision of pharmaceutical care initiatives to ensure the safe, appropriate and cost effective use of medicines.
• To provide safe, timely, cost effective appropriate and high quality pharmaceutical services for patients and staff.

You will be a registered pharmacy technician with an NVQ level 3 in pharmaceutical sciences or equivalent. You will be an accredited checking technician, although applications will be considered from those who are working towards accreditation. Education and training is encouraged and support is provided by the education and training Chief Technician.

As part of the medicines management team , you will have responsibility for the delivery of a high quality service to both inpatients and outpatients at SLaM. This post provides the opportunity to use your skills providing patient care at ward level, as well as delivering an efficient, technician led dispensary service.

The post involves working alongside our clinical pharmacists providing an integrated delivery of pharmaceutical care initiatives for patients in the Trust to ensure safe, appropriate and cost-effective use of medicines.

Job summary

The Croydon Personality Disorder Service is looking to recruit a Registered Mental Health Nurse, Social Worker, Occupational Therapist or Psychologist/Psychotherapist to the post of Specialist Psychotherapist. This is a one year contract providing cover for a member of the team whilst on maternity leave.

We are looking for staff with a commitment to working with people with personality disorders and experience working in therapeutic groups.

You will be trained to facilitate SUN groups, which are open-access crisis and emotional support groups in the community in central Croydon and online. You will offer individual MBT treatment to patients on the MBT treatment programmes, as well as facilitating MBT groups.

The Croydon Personality Disorder Service at the Touchstone Centre provides evidence-based interventions for people suffering difficulties associated with a diagnosis of moderate to severe personality disorder. Interventions offered include Tier 3 day hospital psychotherapy, and outpatient Tier 2 MBT service, and a community based appraisal based coping skills development group.

The team is based at The Touchstone Centre - a psychotherapy day hospital combining good psychiatric management, nursing and physical health care, structured clinical management (SCM) and Mentalization Based Treatment (MBT) to people who might otherwise spend long periods of time in crisis and in and out of services.

Main duties of the job

We provide specialist, evidence-based, psychotherapeutic day hospital treatment for working-age people with moderate to severe personality disorders. We also run the SUN project, a coping skills development and crisis support group 3 times a week in central Croydon to people with or without a diagnosis of personality disorders. You will work within our team of psychotherapists, doctors, specialist community psychiatric nurses and Mental Health Wellbeing Practitioners.

Job summary

The SLaM Staff Support Team and the Counselling and Wellbeing Service are collaborating with a Kings College London Research Team to deliver a Step 2 Low Intensity CBT protocol to support SLaM staff experiencing occupational burnout. Occupational burnout affects between 11% and 30% of healthcare professionals and is associated with staff sickness, job turnover and poorer quality of care. This project provides an exciting opportunity to be involved in developing an innovative treatment intervention for staff experiencing occupational burnout in SLaM.

We are looking for a qualified psychological wellbeing practitioner who is enthusiastic, motivated and interested in developing their step 2 skills and knowledge within a staff support setting and contributing to the setting up and roll out of the Step 2 CBT Burnout pathway. An interest in, and experience of, supporting staff would be an advantage.

Main duties of the job

This post is funded for half a day per week (3.75 hours) over a 2-year fixed term period, in alignment with the duration of the Burnout Project. Experience of working in a Talking Therapies service, including experience of supporting Step 2 Low Intensity CBT, is essential. Training and Supervision in the Burnout Protocol will be provided.

Early Help CAMHS works closely with the local authority's Family Early Help Service and with local schools. We work with children and young people across the age range. We offer advice, consultation, assessment and treatment to children and young people with moderate severity mental health concerns. The team has a well-established neurodevelopmental pathway.

The Adolescent Team works with young people aged 12 to 18, with more severe and complex mental health difficulties.

The Neurodevelopmental Team works with children with autism and/or learning disabilities with complex mental health difficulties.

Each of our teams has a strong multi-disciplinary ethos with contributions from psychology, various psychological therapists, nursing, social work, occupational therapy and psychiatry. The Lambeth Child and Adolescent Mental Health Rapids Team (CAMHS), are looking for a Clinical Specialist to join the team

We work closely with young people (CYP) and their families experiencing complex mental health difficulties, such as anxiety, depression, self harm suicidal ideation, psychosis and complex risk presentations. Our CYP might be at risk of inpatient hospital admission or transitioning out of inpatient care; our role is to provide intensive, support within the community. No two days are the same, and there's plenty of variety in this role and lots of opportunities for learning.

Main duties of the job

1.1 You will be part of the Lambeth CAMHS Rapids Team which consists of a Clinical Service Lead, Clinical Pathway Lead, several clinical specialists & a vocational worker. 1.2 You will be required to undertake mental health assessments for young people presenting in crisis, many with complex risk profiles, contextual risks, complex neurodevelopmental profiles and significant mental health needs.1.3 You will offer fast tracked evidenced based therapeutic treatment, to young people who are designated as high risk. 1.4 You will share responsibility for ensuring that CAMHS staff within the teams achieve positive clinical outcomes for children, young people and their families, evidenced by performance indicators such as activity data, targets and quality measures. OASIS is a team for young people who meet criteria as being "at risk" of developing psychosis, and as such sits within Early Intervention for Psychosis services. As a service, we are committed to increasing the accessibility and acceptability of care, and in ensuring that services are delivered equitably. Part of our remit relates to service promotion - intended to promote awareness of psychosis risk, and to disseminate de-stigmatising, normalising information about unusual experiences and psychosis, both within statutory services and local communities. The post-holder would have opportunities to be meaningfully involved in this co-produced, community focused work.

Clinical presentations seen within OASIS are frequently very varied, meaning significant opportunities for the development of clinical skills, particularly around assessment and formulation. The post-holder would be supported in accessing relevant training to support the development of skills to work effectively with our clients.

Main duties of the job

-Delivery of individual and family interventions for at-risk mental state, primarily within the framework of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Psychosis (CBTp).

-Assessment of clients who have been referred to OASIS (using CAARMS assessment, following appropriate training).

-Supporting MDT staff in psychological formulation and delivery of "low intensity" interventions. Contributing to ensuring that the team's work as a whole is psychologically informed where possible.

-Supervision of trainees and students working with the team.

-Contributing to the team's outreach and service promotion activities, within statutory services and local communities. These initiatives are both in-person and online (e.g. through our website and Instagram).

About us

OASIS is a novel, preventative service within SLaM's provision for Early Intervention in Psychosis. Our MDT comprises Psychologists, Psychiatrists, a Team Leader, Key Workers, Peer Support Workers, provision for vocational support and various placement students and trainees. We have excellent community links and work in close collaboration with other services in Lewisham and Croydon, which are diverse, multicultural boroughs. The team as a whole is committed to ensuring the best possible care for the young people we serve and their families.

In terms of location, we are split across two sites:

-Lewisham: The Lewisham team is based at 59 Cordwell Road, London, SE13 5QY. The closest train station is Hither Green, which is around 10 minutes walk from the office.

-Croydon: The Croydon team is based at Queen's Resource Centre, 66a Queen's Road, Croydon, CR0 2PR. There are transport links via Thornton Heath or East Croydon Stations or by bus.

Structured Clinical Management (SCM) is an evidence-based treatment for service-users with Severe Mental Health difficulties. The Croydon locality has adopted SCM as the framework for healthcare across the Directorate, embedding it in its operational policies. It is used with the full range of Secondary Care Patients including those with Psychosis Conditions, Mood and Affective Conditions, and Personality Disorder.

We are seeking to employ and support a Mental Health and Wellbeing Practitioner to take on a role as an SCM Aligned Care Coordinator within the Central CMHT. They will offer assessments and deliver high quality SCM treatment for the Secondary Care group. This will involve both individual case management and low intensity psychological interventions.

Main duties of the job

• To deliver a set of wellbeing-focused psychologically-informed interventions, aligned to cognitive-behavioural principles, that address problems often experienced by people with severe mental health problems. These include problem solving, building confidence, behavioural activation, graded exposure, emotional regulation.

• You will help to produce and run low level intervention mental health groups.

Job summary

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Data Manager / Research Assistant Psychologist for a Wellcome funded research study, SloMo2. SloMo is a digitally supported, cognitive-behavioural therapy for psychosis that improves fear of harm from others (or paranoia). The SloMo2 study is investigating if SloMo therapy can be delivered by real world clinicians, by conducting a clinical investigation of its implementation, effectiveness, and cost-effectiveness in three NHS Trusts.

The postholder will join a friendly study team that is led Dr Amy Hardy. The post will be supervised by Dr Katie Taylor-Ryan, Study Coordinator and Dr Sarah Swan, Therapy Lead. The postholder will work alongside a lived experience researcher, and liaise with routine care psychological practitioners to facilitate data collection, promote uptake, and for provision of technical support.

We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join the Community Mental Health Teams in Croydon as a Trainee Mental Health and Wellbeing Practitioner. This is Apprenticeship Training Role within Adult Community Mental Health Services and the successful candidates will be expected to study at University College London.

The post is a one-year fixed term appointment. If the training programme is completed successfully candidates will be able to seek accreditation status through the BPS or BABCP and be eligible to apply for a qualified Mental Health Wellbeing Practitioner Post at a Band 5 level.

Main duties of the job
