We currently have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Psychologist to work in the Autism and Learning Disabilities Team. The role requires a dynamic, engaging and flexible psychology graduate with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. The team based at the Tavistock Centre and is an up to 25 years of age specialist mental health service for autistic and/or learning disabled young people and their families.

The post provides an excellent opportunity to gain clinical skills in assessment and intervention, as well as service delivery, clinical audit and evaluation. There will also be opportunities for clinical work alongside members of the multidisciplinary team.

The position will suit an individual who is self-motivated, with excellent literacy and data analysis skills. You will need to be highly motivated and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.

Applicants will be expected to hold a BPS approved degree in Psychology (upper second or first class) and have experience of working in a mental health setting. Experience of working with autistic children and young people and formal training in relevant diagnostic tools (e.g. ADOS-2, ADI-R) are highly desirable for this role.

Main duties of the job

The role involves supporting Clinical Psychologists and other multidisciplinary team members in their work. For this role, there is a particular emphasis on diagnostic assessment for young people where there are concerns about social communication and interaction as well as their mental health. In addition to contributing to multidisciplinary autism assessments, the post-holder will be supporting with waiting list oversight, coordination of referrals and evaluation of clinical support.

There will be opportunities for service-related research and audit, as well as the chance to take part in user involvement and quality improvement projects.

The post holder will be involved in coordinating referrals, organising assessment clinics, as well as in assisting the team in their outcome monitoring process including managing databases and compiling reports.

The post holder will also be part of the assessing team delivering and observing behavioral observations such as ADOS.

Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified HCPC registered Practitioner Psychologist to join NLFT's Older Adult Psychology Team.

This is part-time Band 7 post working on our Older Adult Inpatient Wards and in Islington Services for Ageing and Mental Health (SAMH) Community Mental Health Team.

You will be part of a large Older Adult psychology service comprised of Clinical, Counselling and Assistant Psychologists. Special interests in the service include Systemic Psychotherapy, EMDR, ACT, working with carers and research. .

Main duties of the job

The post holder will work part-time in NLFT's Older Adult Psychology service, dividing their time between the in-patient wards and our Community Mental Health Team in Islington.On the inpatient wards they will provide psychological assessment and treatment to patients with dementia and other mental health conditions. They will offer advice and consultation on clients' psychological care to referrers, non-psychologist team colleagues and other professional and non-professional carers. They will work alongside our other inpatient Clinical Psychologists.

In Islington SAMH CMHT the postholder will work alongside other psychologists and provide a psychology service for clients under this team. This will include psychological assessment and treatment of older people with severe and enduring mental health needs and / or dementia. They will work with patients, their families, carers and systems though individual work, group work and indirect work. They will offer advice, consultation on client's psychological care to referrers, MDT colleagues and non-professional carers.

The role is likely to included opportunities for delivering training and contributing to the supervision of assistant psychologists and trainees working in the service as appropriate.

This role is located in Camden Learning Disabilities Service (CLDS). CLDS is a fully integrated health and social care multi-disciplinary team for adults with learning disabilities living in the London Borough of Camden (LBC). We currently have a vacancy for Associate Mental Health Worker to join out new Older Person's Home Treatment Team. This is a new servicethat has been set up to provide service users who are living in the boroughs of Barnet, Enfield and Haringey who are aged 70+ or who have a diagnosis of dementia with specialist support when they areexperiencing a mental health crisis as an alternative to in-patient admission.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will be responsible for participating and assisting in the delivery of care for service users under the North Boroughs Older Person's Home Treatment Team (OA HTT). This includes supporting carers, families and professionals of those being cared for by theteam.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Clinical/Counselling Psychologist to join the Community CYPMHS Service in Enfield Neurodevelopmental Team and work as part of a multi-disciplinary team in a great location (the post is based at Bay Tree House in Enfield). Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic, skilled Band 7 Clinical or Counselling Psychologist to work in our Maternal Mental Health Service, Maple. This is a fixed term contract for 12 months.

The Maple Service is for women and birthing people whose trauma symptoms have a moderate to severe impact on their mental health. This may be due to a traumatic birth experience, pregnancy loss, neonatal death or the loss of a baby as a result of social care procedures due to safeguarding concerns. The trauma may also exist prior to conception, e.g. when tokophobia prevents a woman from achieving a wanted pregnancy.

Staff normally run clinics at team bases, maternity sites as well as occasionally conducting home visits. Some clinical work is additionally carried out via video call. Therefore, the successful post-holder must be willing to travel and work flexibly.

Specialist supervision will be provided for the successful applicant by a band 8a Clinical/Counselling Psychologist in the Team. There is a large psychology team working across the whole service who meet regularly, provide peer support, and develop/review the psychological service.

We are looking to recruit to a 1.0 WTE based in the East sub team based at N9 7HD.

Please note that the successful applicant is likely to be required to travel to other sites at times including St Pancras Hospital (Camden) and Cedar Place (North Finchley).

Main duties of the job

Services offered by the post holder will include providing psychological assessments, and interventions to service users in line with the evidence base and NICE guidelines. They will also offer advice and consultation based on psychological formulation to referrers, staff of the Maple Service and other professional and non-professional groups.

The post holder will actively contribute to the planning, development and evaluation of perinatal mental health clinical services using leadership skills and knowledge to provide training and consultancy within the specialty area of loss and trauma in the perinatal period. Barnet SCAN is a specialist multidisciplinary service supporting children and young people with learning disabilities, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), ADHD and associated mental health difficulties. The service works closely with families, schools and partner agencies to deliver evidence-based, person-centred care.

We are seeking a clinical or counselling psychologist to work in the North Islington Core team. North London Foundation Trust (NLFT) community mental health services are undergoing widespread, innovative transformation, and Core teams are at the forefront of this. We are developing a more holistic, recovery oriented, biopsychosocial approach to supporting people with mental illnesses, in partnership with primary care, other community NHS providers and the voluntary sector.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be part of a multidisciplinary team providing assessments, formulations, and interventions (individual and group) to those presenting with severe mental health problems in the London borough of Islington. This would require a sound knowledge and experience of CBT and other evidence base interventions in both groups and individual contexts. Job summary

This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Psychologist or Psychotherapist to join the multi-disciplinary Community Team in the Camden and Islington Personality Disorder Service in North London Foundation Trust. The post-holder will join the Team Manager, and Consultant Psychiatrists in leading the team which is made up of Social Workers, Occupational Therapists and Nurses.

The main purpose of the role is to bring a psychological perspective to the work of the Community Team, which functions within a framework of psychologically-informed and change-focused case management and provides assessment, consultation and interventions to people with difficulties understood as severe 'personality disorder'. The post holder will also hold a small caseload offering individual and group interventions. The team uses psychologically-informed and change-focused approaches in their work with clients, this includes case management (informed by MBT and SCM) and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT). The post holder will be part of the DBT Team which works across both the Community Team and the Therapies Team in the service.

As a member of the whole service management group, the post holder will provide senior clinical input for the management of complex cases held by the service and will take a role in supporting the service to manage formal and informal complaints. They will also chair a weekly formulation-based discussion and deputise for Community Team management.

The role is to provide social work expertise to the multidisciplinary assessment of families and parents referred to the service. Rapid initial and then ongoing assessment of parents, their willingness and capacity to engage in therapeutic work, alongside assessment of parenting capacity - the safety of the children being paramount. THE FAMILY DRUG AND ALCOHOL COURT TEAM

A Family Drug and Alcohol Court is an innovative approach to the problem of parental substance misuse (drugs or alcohol) which is having a negative impact on parenting capacity.

The FDAC is based on a model now being widely used across the USA, which is an exciting way of trying to break the destructive cycle of substance misuse through generations. The London FDAC has been running since 2008 and now serves 14 Local Authorities across 4 Family Courts. Independent research suggest that this model is successful in getting parents to engage with and stay in substance misuse services leading to more children being able to return home. Where parents do not engage and children cannot return home, quicker decisions are made about permanent placements for them.

The model is of a specialist court operating within the framework of care proceedings. The specialist FDAC team (which includes substance misuse practitioners, children and family social workers and child and adult mental health expertise) will be attached to the 4 courts we serve in Central, South, West and East London. It will advise the court and link the parents into relevant local services. The emphasis is on working with the parent and child, not just assessing them.

Job summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic and energetic full time Band 6 Clinical Specialist Occupational Therapist to join the Male Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) and Therapy Team based at Highgate West Mental Health Centre.

Job summary

The Whole Family Service is a highly specialist CAMHS which works with families who might have a complex relationship with help. The service uses creative and flexible approaches to engage families whose multiple difficulties mean they might not be able to access a traditional clinic-based service. The service is co-located across local authority services to enable effective partnership working and facilitate coordination amongst professional networks.

The service is comprised of two teams, the Whole Family Team with Perinatal Specialist (WFT-P) and the Whole Family Team (WFT). The WFT-P is a highly specialist service offering psychological therapy to families during pregnancy and with babies, toddlers and children up to the age of 5 years. The WFT is based with Camden local authority social care teams such as safeguarding and family help (previously children's services), alternative education provision (e.g. SEMH school, PRUs), youth justice, early help and the adolescent prototype team. The teams offer both direct assessments, interventions and consultation to other professionals and comprise of Psychology, Systemic Family Therapy, Child Psychotherapy and Psychiatry, Mental Health Nurses, and Senior Practitioners.

The post holder would be expected to spend their time in the WFT supporting the team clinical delivery of a high standard by attending team referral meetings, providing supervision, and attending weekly clinical team and business meetings.

• Degree level as a minimum plus developed specialist and practical knowledge equating to postgraduate degree/ Masters level
• Registration with the Association of Child Psychotherapists (ACP) is required.
• Qualification/training in providing supervision.
