A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Pre-Registration Trainee Pharmacy Technician to join our expanding and friendly pharmacy team on a 2-year fixed term training post, starting in February 2027. Learn while you earn!

This an apprenticeship training post where you will be working towards the skills and competencies required to become a registered Pharmacy Technician whilst being a core member of the team. You will complete a Level 4 Certificate in the Principles and Practices for Pharmacy Technicians as your underpinning knowledge course. Learning is through a hybrid-delivered course run by the University of East Anglia.

You will be working towards all elements outlined in the job description below throughout your 2-year training programme. You will be expected to travel across the Trust and will also undertake part of your learning at one of our training partner organisations. The Pharmacy Team supports safe and effective medicines use for patients across the Trust in a variety of settings which include community hospitals, patient homes and clinics.

Main duties of the job

Under the supervision of a registered pharmacist or pharmacy technician, your daily activities will include:

o To accurately dispense and accuracy check clinically screened prescriptions for patients in accordance with the KCHFT or partner organisation training sites Standard Operating Procedure. o To develop skills around reconciling patients' medicines and checking patients own drugs as part of the Medicines Optimisation process.o Support person-centred care by involving patients and carers in decisions relating to medicines and medicines optimisation activities appropriate to your level of training.o One day per week to complete the required underpinning knowledge learning for the apprenticeship which enables completion of all related competencies and evidence collection required. o To participate fully in the development of own learning and proactively seek learning opportunities, meeting deadlines as agreed.

We are seeking a Band 5 Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist to join our Integrated Musculoskeletal (MSK) Service, which includes Physiotherapy Outpatients, Community Orthopaedics and the Community Chronic Pain Service.

This role involves providing comprehensive musculoskeletal assessment, treatment and rehabilitation for outpatients across community hospital physiotherapy departments and outreach clinics. Working within a hybrid model of face-to-face and virtual consultations, you will manage your own caseload under the supervision of a senior physiotherapist, delivering evidence-based, patient-centred care.

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Speech and Language Therapist to join our Team Lead team as the Early Years SLT Team Lead for North West Kent.

The successful candidate will have significant experience and expertise in working with children with dysphagia, Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) needs, and complex developmental needs. We work closely with colleagues across health, education, social care, and the voluntary sector to deliver a coordinated, child-centred approach, ensuring children, young people, and their families receive high-quality, seamless care and support.

Main duties of the job

To lead the planning and coordination of the day-to-day operational management of the Early Years Team, ensuring the delivery of an effective,high-quality service.

To be responsible for, and provide oversight of, the line management arrangements for staff within the designated team.

To work collaboratively with other Team Leads to promote effective team working and ensure seamless service provision across the locality and wider service.

To work with Locality Clinical Managers to ensure workforce planning and service redesign are undertaken within the designated team, reducing inefficiencies, avoiding duplication of provision, and ensuring children and young people receive coordinated and seamless services.

To work in partnership with Locality Clinical Managers in relation to recruitment, appraisal, and the management of competency, capability, and disciplinary processes.

To ensure all staff receive appropriate clinical supervision relevant to their area of practice, supporting safe and effective care delivery and enabling the service to respond to local and national priorities and commissioning intentions.

Main duties of the job

No two days are the same in Community Nursing. You will deliver a wide range of clinical interventions and assessments, including monitoring and accurately recording vital signs such as blood pressure, respiratory rate, oxygen saturation, temperature, and Glasgow Coma Scale (GCS). You will administer medications via oral, topical, intravenous, subcutaneous, and Controlled Medicines Routes (CMR), undertake venepuncture and peripheral cannulation, and provide care and management of intravenous devices.

Additional responsibilities include male and female catheterisation, bladder and bowel care, wound assessment and dressing management, removal of wound closures and drains, symptom management, and holistic patient assessments. As a temporary worker, you will be supporting the Community Hospitals Team based at one of our hospitals or supporting our Care Home services, where you will be delivering care, both clinical and non-clinical to patients/ clients. Job summary

As part of a team of Clinical Pharmacists and technicians you will be responsible for providing safe and effective medicines optimisation services to patients referred into the Integrated Pharmacy Team (IPT) and agreed community hospital sites. In addition, you will provide pharmaceutical advice to a range of specialist services.

You will develop an expertise in the optimisation of medicines in frailty, working with multidisciplinary teams to ensure that we achieve the best medicines related outcomes for the patients we serve.

Our Community Neurological Rehabilitation Service provides specialist assessment, treatment and rehabilitation for adults with progressive and non-progressive neurological conditions. Our multidisciplinary team of physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech and language therapists, dietitians, nurses, rehabilitation assistants and administrators work together to maximise independence, wellbeing and quality of life.

We support people affected by stroke, traumatic brain injury, MS, Parkinson's disease and motor neurone disease, including those transitioning from hospital and those living with long-term neurological conditions in the community.

Care is delivered in the most appropriate setting, including patients' homes, outpatient clinics and community venues. We also provide therapy groups such as balance, exercise and fatigue management programmes. Working closely with neuropsychology services, social care, acute hospitals and organisations including the MS Society and Parkinson's UK, we deliver holistic, person-centred rehabilitation.

Typically lasting six months, each rotation will help you broaden your clinical skills, consolidate your learning and explore areas of specialist interest.

Supported by experienced Senior Physiotherapists, you will manage your own caseload, develop your clinical reasoning and grow in autonomy through regular supervision, mentorship and development opportunities. Person Specification

Qualifications, training and experience

Essential

• A Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF) Level 3. This could be an NVQ Level 3 apprenticeship, BTEC or equivalent international qualification in healthcare. Or you will be able to demonstrate the equivalent level of experience.
• Functional Skills at Level 2 (Literacy and numeracy/ GCSE grade A-C/ 4-9 or equivalent in English and Maths)
• Recent experience of healthcare/ working as a health care assistant gained through education, work experience or previous employment.

Desirable

• You may also have the Care Certificate, but if not, we will support you to achieve this within the first 3 months of starting.

Knowledge and skills

Essential

• Sound communication skills in order to understand and communicate both verbally and in writing.
• A customer focussed approach which is essential to: Provide patients, clients and their families with the best possible experience; represent the Trust when talking to and working with patients, colleagues and visitors; and work together with colleagues and other teams across the Trust.
• Able to use IT systems and databases.
• Able to remain professional, work well under pressure and organise your own work in order to prioritise care delivery in line with trust policies and procedures.
