This specialist Band 6 role offers the opportunity to work within a growing and dynamic paediatric sleep and long-term ventilation service, supporting infants, children and young people with a wide range of complex sleep and respiratory conditions. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality diagnostic sleep studies and supporting children requiring long-term ventilation.

Main duties of the job
The Senior Paediatric Sleep Physiologist will support the delivery and development of specialist paediatric sleep and respiratory physiology services across West London Children's Healthcare sites.

Working within a multidisciplinary team, the post holder will contribute to the delivery of high-quality, family-centred care while ensuring investigations are performed to a high technical and professional standard in accordance with departmental protocols and AASM standards.
About us
West London Children's Healthcare was formed on 1st April 2022 bringing paediatric services at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust (ICHT) and Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust (CWFT) under a single leadership structure accountable to both Trust Boards for all elements of operational, quality, safety and financial performance. WLCH runs services from Chelsea & Westminster Hospital; Hammersmith Hospital; St Mary's Hospital and West Middlesex Hospital. In addition, two child development services operate from the Cheyne Centre and Woodfield Road.
WLCH has been established to drive the changes needed to reduce these variations and to improve quality, experience and outcomes across all aspects of child health. We value every member of our team and we are absolutely committed to recruiting and retaining a thriving, diverse and inclusive workforce. Every member of our team has a role to play in leading and shaping the transformation required to improve outcomes by optimising joint working, sharing best practice and constantly striving for improvement.
If you haven't heard from us within 3 weeks of the closing date, your application was likely unsuccessful. Employment is subject to a six-month probation. Some roles may require weekend shifts at multiple sites.

This is a rare opportunity to train to become a Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner (PWP) through the apprenticeship route, paid at full time AfC Band 4 (training fees funded by apprenticeship fund and NHS).
In return we'll welcome you into our team and provide a supportive and structured working environment, and all the tools and experiences you'll need to successfully complete this training course and become an accredited NHS Talking Therapies Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner. As part of this position you will be enrolled on an Apprentice PWP training course at the University of Exeter. This is a full time opportunity only- 2 days training will provided remotely and also face-to-face at a central London location, and 3 days placement at Hammersmith and Fulham Talking Therapies (please note that no travel to Exeter will be required).
More information on the course requirements and structure, as well as application and interview tips, can be found here: https://www.exeter.ac.uk/study/degreeapprenticeships/programmes/certificateinpsychologicalwellbeingpractice/
Main duties of the job

This work will be conducted face-to-face, by phone and video. You'll manage your own caseload of clients involving clinical and administrative duties including keeping clinical records of screening referrals using our service protocols. There will be assignments to complete as part of the apprenticeship to advance your training journey.
