The pharmacy department at Lewisham & Greenwich NHS Trust is looking for a passionate and driven pharmacist to join our thriving Cancer & Technical Services team. As a senior member, you will gain valuable experience in the clinical management of Oncology and Haematology patients, as well as Technical Services. With diverse rotations covering palliative care, parenteral nutrition, and haematology & oncology, this role offers intellectually stimulating challenges which will enhance your clinical expertise in specialised services and contribute to your professional development. Main duties of the job

This is a rotational post requiring you to work within Queen Elizabeth Hospital on a rotational basis, in which you will build on your existing experience in hospital pharmacy, gaining specialist knowledge and experience in the following areas:

SACT day units (oncology & haem-onc outpatients) liaising directly with the medical and nursing team to deliver a clinical service to patients attending the hospital as day case treatments

Haemato-oncology wards (inpatients) - We currently have inpatient beds at both sites where you will provide clinical ward duties as well as participating in the multi-disciplinary haematology ward rounds working with the medical and nursing teams

Adult parenteral nutrition - We participate in parenteral nutrition ward rounds liaising with both dieticians and the medical team to provide parenteral nutrition to our adult patients. You will gain experience in the provision of clinical parenteral nutrition

Community hospice and palliative care - We work in partnership with the Greenwich and Bexley Community Hospice providing them with a clinical pharmacist service. The role provides an opportunity to gain experience in palliative care and management of patients liaising directly with our Consultant Palliative Care clinicians and specialist palliative care nurses

Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Team MWL as a Pre-Registration Trainee Pharmacy Technician in our Pharmacy team based at Whiston and St Helens Hospitals

On successful completion of the apprenticeship programme, you will become a qualified Pharmacy Technician, and be able to register with GPhC.

You must be willing and able to follow an academic and practical training course and commit to undertaking at least 10 hours per week of your own time to complete college assignments.

Applicants must have at least 4 GCSEs or Equivalent, at grade C (or grade 4 or above) which must include Maths, English, and 2 Science subjects

Or

If you have 2 years Pharmacy experience and already have your NVQ L2, then you may apply but will need to pass a science assessment before being offered the post.

You must be able to provide the original certificates (or certified copies) of these qualifications at the interview stage. Statement of results will not be accepted.

This post is offered on a fixed-term basis for 2 years. Due to the significant training and development investment associated with this role, applicants must be committed to completing the full 2-year term of the contract and be able to demonstrate their entitlement to work in the UK for the full duration of the appointment.

Main duties of the job

You must be willing and able to follow an academic and practical training course and commit to undertaking at least 10 hours per week of your own time to complete college assignments. Successful completion of this training will allow you to register with the GPhC as a practicing Pharmacy Technician.

As a Pre-Registration Trainee Pharmacy Technician, you will rotate through different sections of the Pharmacy department, including Inpatient and Outpatient dispensing Ward services and Pharmacy stores, where you will be working with our newly installed automated dispensing systems. You will be preparing and dispensing a broad range of medicines including controlled drugs learning how to undertake a medicines reconciliation at ward level, final accuracy checking of prescriptions as well as providing advice and guidance to patients about their medicines.

As an apprenticeship this role is supported by an accompanying assessment and skills development programme, during which the post holder will gain the skills and knowledge relevant for this role. Learning will be a mix of in the workplace, formal on and off the job training, and the opportunity to practise new skills in a real work environment. On successful completion of their Apprenticeship, they will have the right knowledge, skills, and behaviours they need for their chosen role.

We are recruiting two Band 8a Lead Clinical Pharmacists to join the pharmacy department at South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust. These senior clinical roles offer the opportunity to lead pharmacy services and improve the safe, effective and person-centred use of medicines.

Both post holders will be based mainly at Bethlem Royal Hospital and will take professional responsibility for an agreed portfolio, which may include inpatient wards, specialist services and dispensary services. Bethlem Royal Hospital supports a broad range of specialist pathways. The final portfolios will be agreed after appointment. You will join the on-call rota and late duty rota where applicable. You may be required to travel to various hospital and community mental health teams sites.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will work within one of the East Cornwall Primary Care Network General Practices, as well as being co located in our new and exciting pharmacy hub, where we are currently providing primary care services to a registered practice population across a number of sites and to unregistered patients with an immediate need. The post holder will also be involved in population health management as part of a large PCN Clinical Pharmacy teams, supported by senior pharmacists, other clinical pharmacists and pharmacy technicians.

This is an exciting opportunity to provide key pharmacist expertise to GP practices within the locality. As a Clinical Pharmacist in an East Cornwall practice you will manage your own clinics to see patients for medication reviews, assist the practice team with prescribing related issues and treat patients with uncomplicated acute illness. You will help support the East PCN with core medicine optimisation activities and ensure the safe and effective use of medicines across East Cornwall. You will be encouraged to develop a clinical specialism.

• Attend primary/secondary care interface meetings in designated specialist therapeutic areas to improve the cost effective and evidence based use of medicines across locality and develop links with the hospital pharmacists involved in these areas.

Main duties of the job

Band 6 to 7 Progression Pharmacist

Location: Luton (Calnwood Road)

You will be responsible for providing a clinical pharmacy service to designated mental health inpatient teams and delivering on all aspects of medicines optimisation. You will be the source of expert pharmaceutical advice for the MDT and undertake patient-centered medicines discussions.

We will be supporting newly qualified pharmacist into the specialty of mental health hospital pharmacy and will be encouraging them to undertake a post graduate certificate/diploma. During your progression role you will have the opportunity to rotate through a number of mental specialisms such as CAMHS, Forensics, Older Adults, PICU and also be able to participate in a rotation with our acute trust provider.

You will also need to have the skills to be able to work effectively within the wider multi-disciplinary team of nurses and doctors and other allied healthcare professionals and managers. Join and lead our well established and highly skilled practice employed pharmacist team. Main duties of the job

As our Bank Pharmacy Technician, you will be:

• Supporting the delivery of a safe, high-quality pharmacy service.
• Dispensing medicines accurately and in accordance with agreed procedures and standards.
• Providing medicines management support to inpatient and outpatient areas.
• Supporting patients with medication counselling and information.
• Maintaining controlled drug records and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.
