About NELFT’s SET CAMHS
NELFT’s SET CAMHS is for anybody aged between 0-18, living in the Southend, Essex and Thurrock areas and is free at the point of entry.
Any young person experiencing emotional wellbeing or mental health problems,
Structure of NELFT’s SET CAMHS
There are: a Children’s Single Point of Access (CSPA), seven Locality Teams, an Intensive Support Services and a specialist Eating Disorders Team. These are located across Southend, Essex and Thurrock.
What difficulties can be referred to the service?
- Mood and anxiety disorders
- Behavioural and conduct disorders
- Emerging personality and attachment disorders
- Eating disorders
- Psychotic disorders
- Deliberate self-harm and suicidal ideation
- Substance misuse with co-existing mental health needs (dual diagnosis)
- Autistic spectrum disorder (ASD) - with co-occurring mental health needs where the focus is on the treatment of mental health needs.
- Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) - with co-occurring mental health needs
- Neurodevelopmental disorders
- Prolonged bereavement problems
All referrals to the service are assessed and then we use the Thrive model to offer the support that is needed for the young person, developed in line with the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence guidance criteria (NICE) and based on a best practice model of treatment.
Locality Teams in SET CAMHS:
The aim of our SET CAMHS is to respond earlier to children and young people’s needs in order to help prevent, reduce or delay the need for more specialist interventions. This transformation of children and young people’s mental health services has a clinical focus, integrated with local authorities to deliver a long term collaborative approach to planning and delivering services.
SET CAMHS focuses on the mental health and includes access to self-help tools and services based in schools and the community. We are creating a modern service that fits with children’s lives in a way that best suits them. Key new features include a Children’s Single Point of Access (CSPA) into the service, clear early signposting, and use of digital channels. We are working collaboratively with HCRG (formerly Virgin care) when offering the 'Getting Help' aspect of the Thrive Model.
The service is driven by the principles underpinning the national CYP-IAPT programme (Children and Young People’s Improving Access to Psychological Therapies); evidence based interventions, routine measurement of outcomes, access to high quality training and supervision for professionals and true co-production with children and young people.
Clinicians have to ensure that a high quality, timely, accessible and evidence-based service is available to all children and young people who need it. This means establishing and maintaining excellent working relationships with wider social, health and voluntary services.
Working in our EWMHS locality teams is for you if you are excited by a modern approach. We would very much like to hear from you.
Please refer to the attached job description and person specification for further details on this vacancy.
Joining #TeamNELFT means you’ll become part of a welcoming and supportive working environment. We’re CQC rated Good, and we want you to join us on the journey towards an Outstanding rating. NELFT has sites across North East London and Essex. We provide community and mental healthcare services to adults and children within these areas
Our Values 2025 - 2030
Working with our colleagues, patients and carers we have co-produced three new values that we aim to embed within our culture here at NELFT. They are:
- We are kind.
- We are respectful.
- We work together with our communities.
These three values help us to strive to provide the best care by the best people. NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers, and attend a number of drop-in sessions focusing on engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Goodmayes Hospital.
Probationary Period This post will be subject to a probationary period.
Certificates of Sponsorship Although we are a registered sponsor organisation, we are unable to offer sponsorship for all job roles. Please check your eligibility under the UKVI points-based system. When calculating the basic salary for sponsorship, HCAS (High-Cost Area Supplement) is not included to ensure fairness and consistency within our Trust.
Use of AI
We value applications that genuinely reflect each candidate’s own skills, experience and motivations. We therefore strongly discourage the use of AI-generated content in applications.
Applications should be written in your own words and accurately represent your knowledge, skills and experience.
We reserve the right to reject an application where we reasonably believe AI has been used to generate or materially contribute to its content.
Please see the attached job description and person specification for more information about this role and working at North East London NHS Foundation Trust. We encourage you to refer to this when completing your application.
We welcome your application even if you do not meet all the criteria listed in the person specification. Please apply as soon as possible as some posts close early to limit the number of applications.

Chief Pharmacy Technician - ePMA & Digital Services
Kingston and Richmond NHS Foundation Trust View all jobs
Posted 1 month(s) ago
Reference: 2347659
Job summary
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Pharmacy Technician with a passion for digital healthcare, who is looking to take their next career step and join us as a Chief Technician, ePMA.
As part of our established Pharmacy Digital and Informatics Team, you'll help us maintain, develop and optimise the EPMA system, working with colleagues from across the Trust to improve prescribing and patient safety.
You'll work with a broad range of people along the way. Supporting colleagues individually and delivering training to larger groups, to contributing to multidisciplinary discussions, digital projects and system developments, you'll have the opportunity to build relationships across different professions and specialties.
We're looking for someone who can explain things clearly, find creative ways to make training engaging and isn't afraid to roll up their sleeves when problems needs solving.
Healthcare is becoming increasingly digital, and this role gives you the opportunity to be at the forefront of that change. You'll expand your specialist skills inEPMA systems, while using your pharmacy knowledge to challenge existing ways of working and help us improve how medicines are prescribed and administered.
Unlike a lot of digital pharmacy technician roles, you'll still have the opportunity to retain your operational pharmacy skills in the dispensary, but the majority of your role will focus on our digital medicines systems and supporting the people who use them.
Main duties of the job
- To help maintain and optimise our Trust Electronic Prescribing and Medicines Administration (EPMA) systems as an integral member of the Pharmacy Digital Team.
- Provide expert training and support to multidisciplinary staff using the Trust Oracle Cerner Millenium EPMA system.
- Working with multidisciplinary teams to design and implement system changes to promote safe prescribing in line with Trust clinical guidelines.
- Work in collaboration with the wider Trust Digital Teams on projects, system upgrades and configuration and regression testing.
- Design, build and implement prescribing protocols, order sets and clinical decision support tools in line with Trust guidelines.
- Contribute to medication safety initiatives through system design, audit and continuous quality improvement.
About us
Kingston & Richmond NHS Foundation Trust Pharmacy Department provides a high quality, professional pharmacy service and has a strong track record in delivery quality and innovative services. Both the Pharmacy Department and the Trust have a long-standing reputation for being a friendly, rewarding and compassionate place to work.
We work closely with colleagues across the wider multidisciplinary team, so you won't be tucked away behind a computer working on ePMA in isolation. You'll get to know people across different professions and specialties and become someone colleagues turn to when they need help navigating our digital systems.
As this is a role that sits between pharmacy, people and digital, there's a real opportunity to learn. You'll be surrounded by experienced pharmacy colleagues while also building relationships with teams across the Trust, giving you exposure to areas you might not ordinarily encounter in a traditional pharmacy technician role.
We want you to feel comfortable asking questions, sharing ideas and challenging the way we do things. If you spot something that could work better, we want to hear about it.

Reference: 2347653
Job summary
We have an exciting opportunity for a Band 6 Physiotherapist to join our fast paced and dynamic Acute Frailty Therapy Team in Queen's Hospital.
As a Band 6 Physiotherapist in a large and busy team you will be required to demonstrate leadership skills and be confident to work as an autonomous practitioner with a focus on early assessment and discharge planning, with rapid and robust decision-making essential for efficient patient flow.
You will be familiar with the assessment of patients with diverse presentations and complex physical, cognitive, and psychological health conditions within elderly and medical specialities to develop and deliver treatment and discharge plans.
The Team works closely with the larger Multidisciplinary Team to care for acutely unwell frail patients attending the hospital and through collaborative decision making with our colleagues we facilitate safe and rapid discharge from hospital. We are based in Queen's Emergency Department, Frailty SDEC, Medical SDEC, Queen's Frailty Unit and an elderly inpatient ward in Queen's Hospital.
The team is an integrated service with Occupational Therapy, and you will be supported by Band 7 Physiotherapists, a Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist and a Band 8a Clinical Lead. The team is very supportive and there are lots of opportunities to develop both clinical and non-clinical skills, with access to internal and external courses.
Main duties of the job
To provide a high standard of physiotherapy service, facilitating and maximising patient potential within the service boundaries
To fulfil a teaching and supervisory role with peers, Junior staff and Students on placement
About us
We're an organisation that is getting better and better and our improvements are driven by a determination to deliver care we're proud of and our patients are happy with.
They are benefitting from a new electronic patient record (we were the last acute trust in London to introduce one) and our maternity services have been rated good by the Care Quality Commission.
We operate from two main sites - KGH in Goodmayes and Queen's Hospital in Romford. We have two busy emergency departments with more than 346,000 people visiting them last year. We're campaigning to secure the £35m we need to transform the A&E at Queen's and get rid of corridor care.
We're proud of our regional Neurosciences Centre, Radiotherapy Centre and Hyper Acute Stroke Unit. We're also part of the North East London Cancer Alliance.
We run a Women's Health Hub in Ilford; an Ageing Well Centre in Hornchurch; and Community Diagnostic Centres (CDC) at Barking Community Hospital and at St George's Health and Wellbeing Hub. These CDCs are open 12 hours a day, 7 days a week.
The majority of our 8,400 staff - who come from 146 different countries - live in the three diverse London boroughs we serve and are from black, Asian and minority ethnic groups. Many can work flexibly and more than 400 of them are on our Ofsted accredited apprenticeship programmes. We're proud to be a London Living Wage employer.
