We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Practitioner Psychologist to join our Neurodevelopmental Pathway (Autism Assessment Service) specialist psychology service. The role will involve assessing children presenting with neurodevelopmental needs across all sectors of care within the Birmingham catchment area.

The post holder will be part of the multidisciplinary team in the Neurodevelopmental Hubs and liaise closely with colleagues in education.

They will also supervise and support the psychological assessments and therapy provided by other psychologists and others who provide psychologically based care and treatment.

They will support a culture of research and utilise research skills for audit, policy and service developments and propose and implement policy changes within the Service and the broader multidisciplinary team. Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly specialist clinical or counselling psychologist or psychotherapist within the Psycho-oncology team at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust. We are looking to appoint an empathic, enthusiastic and dynamic psychological practitioner to contribute to the provision of a specialist psychology service for patients with cancer across all sectors of cancer care at ICHT. This is a fixed term maternity leave cover post within a large, established, friendly and supportive team of psychologists and psychotherapists working across cancer and oncology services.

Main duties of the job

The postholder will work individually and systemically to support patients, carers and staff from diverse backgrounds throughout the cancer pathway, alongside working to foster a psychologically safe environment within cancer services. They will contribute to Level 2 teaching and supervision for specialist cancer staff as well as provide training, consultation and reflective practice as appropriate. The postholder will undertake service evaluation, audit and research as required and work as an autonomous professional within BPS and HCPC guidelines and codes of conduct, guided by the policies and procedures of the service. Supervision and management will be provided by one of the experienced senior psychologists within the psychology team and there will be opportunities to link and work alongside other psychologists and psychotherapists working in other medical specialities within the broader ICHT Clinical Health Psychology Department.

Desirable candidates may have particular interests in third wave therapies (i.e., ACT, CFT), adjustment and coping in acute and chronic illness, systemic and narrative approaches, trauma informed models and approaches, attachment, existentialism, models of loss and grief and non-diagnostic approaches to understanding distress (e.g., the PTMF), amongst other therapeutic approaches. Job summary

Following the current post-holder leaving to start the Doctorate in Clinical Psychology we have an opportunity for a skilled, organised, motivated and team-focused graduate psychologist to join our team of psychologists in West Essex (Uttlesford). This post will be based with the Adult Community Mental Health Service at Western House in Stansted, Essex (CM24 8AG). West Essex covers a broad geographical area and the post holder may be required to travel to Saffron Walden, Harlow and Loughton as a routine part of the role. The Uttlesford locality includes three qualified psychologists alongside the assistant, with trainees and undergraduate students on placement. Main duties of the job

The role of the Assistant Psychologist is to assist with all parts of the psychology role, including individual and group assessments and treatment under supervision, administrative and organisational tasks, and audit and service evaluation. Adult Community Psychology in West Essex comprises a small, friendly and supportive group of psychologists across three teams in Uttlesford, Harlow and Epping. They provide specialist assessment, individual and group based psychological interventions for the service users who present with moderate to severe mental health problems aged from 18 upwards. An additional essential part of the psychologists' role is providing trauma-informed consultation, training and supervision to multi-disciplinary colleagues with whom they are based in order to develop team members' psychological knowledge and their understanding of clients. The psychologists in the teams have specialist skills and training including in CBT, CAT, DBT and EMDR, and are very supportive of ongoing training and development for Assistant Psychologists as appropriate.

Job summary

Are you a clinical or counselling psychologist with significant experience in CAMHS eating disorder work, with a particular interest in working with young people with complex eating disorder presentations including ARFID? This is an opportunity to provide senior psychology input across our community service, including our severe ARFID pathway and our MDT intensive treatment service. Young people using our MDT intensive service often have complex presentations, including for example neurodiversity or trauma, and are at risk of inpatient admissions.

The service is the multidisciplinary North Central London (Royal Free) community CAMHS Eating Disorders team, and we provide community treatment for young people with eating disorders including ARFID. We have a lively and supportive psychology team, and as a senior member you would provide supervision and line management to junior colleagues.

Our service has an exciting opportunity for a CYP Psychological Trainings: Therapy Trainee ASD/LD to join our team as part of the NHS England (NHSE) funded Children and Young People (CYP) Psychological Training Programmes.

The Nottinghamshire Eating Disorder Service (NEDS) is an adult community team supporting people with anorexia nervosa and bulimia nervosa and comorbid mental, physical and social difficulties. The multi-disciplinary team has grown substantially in 2022 and we are now looking to appoint a second clinical psychologist in order to improve our clinical offering to those accessing our service. As part of the Specialist Eating Disorders (ED) service, to provide a clinical psychology service to individuals & care systems including direct and indirect clinical work, supervision and training of others, clinically relevant research/audit and specific clinical lead roles that support the ED Leadership Team in developing the service.

The post holder will be a member of the Specialist ED multi-disciplinary service, which serves the Nottingham City and Nottinghamshire County area. There will be a leadership role in making formulations within the team, developing and maintaining appropriate structures for discussing cases in a psychologically-minded way. Liaison with a broad range of other disciplines and agencies, including health, education, social services, voluntary agencies and care systems will be a key aspect of this post.

Job description Job responsibilities As part of the Specialist Eating Disorders (ED) service, to provide a clinical psychology service to individuals & care systems including direct and indirect clinical work, supervision and training of others, clinically relevant research/audit and specific clinical lead roles that support the ED Leadership Team in developing the service. The post holder will be a member of the Specialist ED multi-disciplinary service, which serves the Nottingham City and Nottinghamshire County area. There will be a leadership role in making formulations within the team, developing and maintaining appropriate structures for discussing cases in a psychologically-minded way. Liaison with a broad range of other disciplines and agencies, including health, education, social services, voluntary agencies and care systems will be a key aspect of this post. Job summary

Home Based Treatment Teams provide services to people with complex mental health needs. The post holder will be an integral and valued team member of the team, with the support of Clinical Psychologists and other multidisciplinary colleagues, including Nurses, Occupational Therapists, Social Workers, Psychiatrists and support workers. The postholder will receive weekly clinical supervision from a Clinical Psychologist.

Main duties of the job

You will be working in a creative environment where evidence-based interventions, new ideas, ways of working and supporting children and young people (CYP) are actively encouraged. The approach requires flexibility and adaptability, and a passion for working with CYP in education settings.

The Mental Health Support Teams (MHST) are part of the Emotional Health and Wellbeing Service (EHWS) in EEC NHS Trust and sits within the Getting Advice and Getting Help (quadrants of) the iThrive model. The iThrive model provides an integrated approach to the delivery of person-centred and needs-led services for children, young people, and families.

Since January 2020, East of England Community Health and Care (EEC) NHS Trust has launched twelve MHSTs across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough and we continue to expand, moving towards 100 percent coverage of schools by 2030, in line with the NHS Long Term Plan. MHSTs provide mental health and emotional wellbeing support to children and young people and their families and carers through schools and colleges.

The MHSTs work with education settings to provide early intervention for mild to moderate mental health difficulties and provide support to staff in schools and colleges on their Whole School Approach (WSA) to mental health.

Job Purpose

The postholder, with appropriate supervision, will work as an autonomous and responsible practitioner as their training affords in educational and health care settings alongside a team of mental health professionals and within the scope of their local job description, to:

Develop and deliver evidence-based interventions under supervision, to children, young people, parents and carers in an educational/community setting who are experiencing mild to moderate mental health difficulties

Develop and practice evidence-based skills under supervision to carry out holistic and child-centred mental health assessments, including risk assessments and risk formulations.

Help children and young people within these settings who present with more severe problems to rapidly access more specialist services

The post holder will also be responsible for supporting and facilitating staff in education settings to identify and where appropriate manage issues related to mental health and well-being

Use the EMHP skills, knowledge, and abilities to deliver a service based within education settings that builds on and reinforces but does not replace those initiatives that already exist within these environments

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Assess and deliver outcome focused, evidence-based interventions in educational settings for children and young people experiencing mild to moderate mental health difficulties, working at all times in collaboration with and giving respect to the education function of the setting in which the post-holder is deployed

Work in partnership to support children and young people experiencing mild to moderate mental health difficulties and their parents/carers, families and educators in the self-management of presenting difficulties

Work in effective, evidence-based partnership with children, young people, their families and their educators in the development of plans for the intervention and agreed outcomes

Support and empower children, young people, their parents/carers and families and their educators to make informed choices about the interventions being offered

Operate at all times from an inclusive values base, which recognises and respects diversity

Accept referrals within educational settings according to agreed local and national protocols

Undertake and record accurate assessments and formulation of risk and operate clear risk management processes in line with locally agreed procedures including the safeguarding protocols of the educational setting and Local Safeguarding Board guidance

Adhere to all regulations, processes, and procedures within the educational service to which the postholder is attached within the educational setting where the post-holder working including (but not limited to) HR policies, training requirements, referral protocols, and emergency procedures.
