We are looking for experienced, passionate and compassionate Staff Nurses to join our dynamic nursing teams across a variety of Older People's wards throughout the Trust.

This is an excellent opportunity to develop your clinical skills and gain valuable experience working across different areas of Older People's Services. You will be supported to identify individual development goals, broaden your clinical experience and build the skills and confidence needed to progress your career and develop future leadership opportunities.

We are looking for nurses who have a genuine interest in caring for older people and who are committed to delivering high-quality, person-centred care. You will work alongside experienced and supportive teams, with opportunities to develop your knowledge, leadership skills and professional practice.

If you are caring, enthusiastic and keen to develop your nursing career within Older People's Services, we would love to hear from you.

Main duties of the job

Work in accordance with the NMC Code of Professional Conduct and relevant professional guidelines, acting as a named nurse or key worker for a defined group of patients.

Take responsibility for:

  • Assessing care and health education needs
  • Developing, implementing, and evaluating individualised care plans, including discharge planning

Gain experience and develop skills in:

  • Clinical practice
  • Facilitation and teaching
  • Management and leadership (as appropriate)

Contribute to the delivery of the RUH Nursing Strategy, supporting its objectives through effective communication and participation in clinical supervision.

Act as a mentor, preceptor, facilitator, and role model for less experienced staff, promoting learning and professional development within the team.
